Making air tanks for your astronaut costume
How do you create an air tank replica in your astronaut costume? Take 2 empty 2-liter bottles and then using duct tape, tape them together. You can then spray silver spray to make them look like part of the entire costume.

How will they be attached to the back of the space suit? The best way is to have the 2 bottles (air tanks) strapped to the back of the suit using straps. That way it will give the look of a backpack of air tanks and will make the suit look more believable. Do not forget to put some ‘NASA’ patches on the air tanks too.

Do astronauts wear shoes?
The astronaut costume will not be complete without appropriate footwear. Since the astronauts footwear look like rain boots, you can use whatever old rain boots that are lying around and color them in, say orange.

Ensure that the boots are of the right height and are fitting well. You do not want to have an astronaut falling over on the Martian surface while he should be doing explorations.
